HO / Walk Around Companion
January 25, 2016, 06:52:25 PM
Is this still sold out and not to be seen again??      It's been a while so I'm thinking it's gone for good or did I miss some news??    Probably all the attention is on the App now.

Would Bachmann make 1 of these to match the GP9 I bought?    You can make more than 1,lol.   These are nowhere to be found except to make my own but I'd rather just buy 1 for the sake of time.

Nice layout Wayne!  So the groundthrows just attach to the control lever/arm  on the switch  and I don't nee the remote control part, right?

HO / Re: Shell removal GP7

Thanks Bapguy. I Got to the 3rd  screw and of course it was factory too tight and the cheap metal phillips head stripped.  So my buddy can try next Saturday with his metal powder and try and lift it.

HO / Groundthrows

Are they easy to install?  I have older atlas remote switches that I use manually and would like to apply groundthrows and take off the black clunky remote parts.
Thanks

HO / Shell removal GP7

Besides the 2 coupler screws, how many more screws are there to remove so I can take off the shell?  I see one by the speaker.
Thanks

Is the Dynamis system separate from EZ Command?   Is it a whole different system?  Sounds like The EZ system would be useless with Dynamis.

I know this is an old post but it still is troubling knowing I got into HO with the Bachmann EZ system and was counting on this Walk-around controller.   Now what?

HO / Re: DCC Sound for DCC

Thank you all.   Just a bit too much for me.  If only Bachmann had this option for all its locos, not just a few.

"" If you could inform us specifically which you wanted to add sound to, we can be of more help than just speaking generally. ""

I recently bought a Bachmann  CN  RS 3  and a Bachmann  NYC GP 7 both DCC.  I  just got them last fall.  I was just wondering if it was a matter of swapping chips.   The catalog doesn't show a lot of options for sound, only a few.  Does Bachmann put in sound on a special order if not seen in the catalog?

I got a Bachmann CN RS3 and a NYC GP7 both withh DCC and I'm wondering how many cars they can pull on a level surface.   I'm pulling about 10 each now and was just curious what they are rated at.  tnx

If they're new, I am not sure you would have reason yet to lube and oil them.  Too much is almost as bad as too little lube.  Are they doing anything funny?

No, they are fine.   Just wondering.

HO / Re: EZ Command Speed Dial
December 15, 2014, 08:39:47 PM
Bachmann is 1st class.   I returned my EZ Command for repair on the speed control dial and they replaced it for me.  It was under warranty and they delivered.   Very happy!
