You my friend are very lucky to have the large scale Thomas set. Nice video too. Thinking about getting Percy and the trucks too? Collecting large scale models can be tricky because of how expensive they are...
I myself would like the large scale Thomas set around the Christmas tree we have, but I can't afford getting the set. :-\
But all that aside, good job with the video and enjoy your model. :)
Congrats man. I'm hoping my parents will get me the Large Scale Thomas Set for Christmas, but I doubt they will. :(
Recently I recovered some chains I made for my HO scale engines, but realized they were too big so if I do get the Large Scale set they'll work great on Thomas, Annie, and Clarabel with just a bit of spray paint. ;D
nice and the coaches are to scale similar to the ho and show
Next thing I'd do would be put some seats and people in the coaches and a driver an fireman in Thomas' cab. Is he big enough to put a 3 1/2" action figure in the cab?
Congrats....!
oh to be 13 again ;D
He is pretty cool isn't he..Big too, my kids watched your video, now they are screaming for a Thomas...little do they know there's one upstairs in my closet ;) ;)
Merry Christmas All!

I would, but I'm not a real LS modeller. I don't think it's really neccessary for me, but for others it may be. ;)

Sadly, no. His cab interior is only about 1 1/2 high from floor to roof :-\
i ment on youtube
Referring to his earlier inquiry about Percy. He was trying to explain that he meant to ask if there were any LS Percy videos on YouTube.

Oooo. Gotcha ;) Yes, there is one.
Is it possible to fit a 4 inch tall figure in Thomas and Percy?

Unfortunately, no.
Thats improbable! 4 inches tall is close to G scale, not 1 and 1/2 inches

Well, I'm not a real LS modeller and this is my first LS train. So, depending on the question, I may not be able to answer. Anyway, referring back to the quote: Like I said, I'm no LS modeller, so I don't find it improbable. But I can tell you that the floor of the cab is not down to the running board. This, of course, is the reason a 4 inch figure will not fit. But the measurement of the cab from running board to roof is 3 inches ,but, just to be safe, I would not tamper with the cab because I'm pretty sure that the motor is directly under the cab. I don't think it's worth having a lil' figure in the cab of my train if it meant ruining an absolutely gorgeous Thomas model.
I have the Thomas set too! It is legend!! ;D :D
These cabs can be modified but its a bit of a bash to do so, the inside has to be cut away and a new backhead placed.
Thomas as is
After
Percy after cutting out cab area, you can see how much high the plastic is
After
Heh, vic I can't wait to see what you're gonna do with the James model. :)
