Thanks all for the info. Just to add. I have a 9 x 12 layout using all Bachmann EZ track and run some Bachmann loco's. That's why I use the Bachmann forum.

Brand new Spectrum  Northern Pacific #3615 EMD SD45. Are these supposed to have working lights? Mine aren't working. It's on a DC track.

Looks light the bulb is burned out. Can they be changed? Looks like it is wired direct.

The layout is "U" shaped. Two 4x8's connected by a 4'x30" piece. The 12lenghth is against the wall. The rest is accessible.

I just saw your post and it's almost the same layout as I'm building. A couple of differences is the long wall on mine is against the wall, and the middle section is only 30' wide. What height are you building at?
