Do you have any "specs" for this loco? It looks quite a bit larger to my eyes, but my eyes aren't what they used to be.  If you know where to find some basic dimensions, we could compare them.

The Mantua 2-6-6-2 is too small for an O Scale model of the Uintah locos. It's about right for an S Scale model. The MMI model will be a lot bigger.
There was a very small narrow-gauge 2-6-6-2 somewhere that's about the right size, but I can't remember where. Model Railroader once had an article and drawings of it; maybe someone else will remember.

I can't do it either. When I enter the code, I get to the next page OK; then when I click the button I get a "Can't find file" message.

Well, my wish WAS for a 4-4-0 like the large scale one; now PSC has beaten Bachmann to the punch, so in a way I did get my wish, although I probably won't be able to buy more than one.
The Bachmann 4-4-0 is still nice, and I do plan on getting one.
I don't wish for another Shay, but rather for another medium-sized rod engine.

...and along with the underframes, how about tenders? There are now, or will be soon, THREE! On30 tenders - from the 2-6-0, the 2-8-0, and the 4-4-0 - all of which 'should' also be available separately.

On30 / Re: "Bobber caboose"

I think the original question was about a "bobber" caboose, which is a 4-wheel car. The International/Chivers cars are 8-wheelers, which means they're not bobbers as supplied - you'd have to make or kitbash a 4-wheel underframe for them (you could do the same for the bachmann caboose).

The Grandt kit IS a bobber; I don't know if it can be re-gauged for 30", but maybe it's possible. I don't know if they'll sell the complete underframe assembly, but the pedestals (axle journals and mounting apparatus) are sold separately.

On30 / I almost got my wish!

I just was at the Walthers web site, looking at the "New Products Announced" page, and saw a Bachmann On30 4-4-0 listed. Woo hoo! just what I wanted!
Then I read it again, and discovered it was a typo - it's the G Scale 4-4-0, in new paint schemes.
Darn! Rats! Aw Shucks! when is Santa bringing my On30 4-4-0?

oh well,
Melinda
