Williams by Bachmann / SP bloody nose F3

Bachmann,
How about set of Southern Pacific F-3 locomotives in the bloody nose and grey scheme.  These were used for both passenger and freight and into the early Amtrak era pulling the Coast Starlight, Sunset Limited, and other western services.  This is a product not made by anyone yet.  Make these and you shall sell.  Many manufacturers have made SP passenger sets in the red and plain stainless steel scheme.   The bloody nose F-3 units by Williams would go well with these cars and freight.

Find some mostly plain aluminum Williams cars and repaint the letterboards with B&M.  These cars are easily repainted as well with a primer coat then whatever colors you want. I created my own Williams VIA Rail Canada set out of varieties of road names I found inexpensively.

In the case of Penn Central I bought Bachmann Williams F3's and then Railking PC pax cars.  They go great together and I have reliable Williams power assuring me decades of trouble free heavy running.

BTW...the B&M Williams F3's are truly pieces of art.  I am not into B&M but love these gems.  Favorites for sure!

I just upgraded a dummy F3 B unit with a power kit.  I found the same issue.  In fact, only one of the insulating flanged washers would fit into the truck where the red wire screws in fir pickup roller.  I had to create my own washer to get this to work.  This made an otherwise simple upgrade somewhat frustrating.  But all ends well and my b unit is running fine.

Bachmann...any possibility of more recent road names for the GP30?

Reading would look great for sure.

I tried to upload a pic I took of a CSX GP30 at Fostoria,  OH in 2013 but the pic is too big.  The unit was rebuilt by CSX and looked brand new in the latest CSX colors with white cab roof.

I am eager to buy one of the GP30's but will only buy more recent (modern) era paint schemes.  I would suggest Santa Fe, Conrail, CSX (both recent schemes).  Additionally a Penn Central with red & white "worm" logo.  Although Norfolk Southern would be a fictional scheme on a GP30,  many of us would enjoy this road as well.

They should offer the following:

B&O  /   CSX  /   Santa Fe   /

possibly :    Southern  /    Nickel Plate Road

The GP30 is one of my favorite locomotives.  I am glad to see Williams by Bachmann add this to the product line.  However, the four road names cataloged are not in my interest area at all.  I hope that Bachmann soon offers more roads.  Also will maximize profits on the new item.

I would be interested in any of the following:
CSX, Nickel Plate Road, Chessie System, B&O, Penn Central, Santa Fe (yellow/blue).   I would also buy a Norfolk Southern, even though I do not think the NS ever had any, I would enjoy having it nonetheless.

I welcome a reliable Williams GP30 into the O Gauge hobby.   I own a Chessie GP30 by another manufacturer that is simply a $400 shelf queen, unable to operate reliably.  I hope WbB can get some additional roads on the market in the coming months.

Stationmaster,
Not sure if I am violating any forum rules, but if you search for "Williams Genesis Phase V" on the O Gauge Railroading Magazine's forum, you will see some pictures of these new locomotives.  The thread is within the 3 Rail Trains section of that forum.

I am going to put a plug in for the F3 locomotives to be offered in VIA Rail Canada yellow and blue paint scheme.   Glad to see the Norfolk Southern and Penn Central F3's, both of which I purchased, added to your lineup of offerings.

Now, how about an item never made in O Scale, VIA Rail F3's?

3rail,
I apologize if any of my posts came across as negative or sarcastic.  There were times that my initial question or phone message at Bachmann went without response for numbers of weeks.  A message left at Bachmann sales with my name and phone contact clearly left went unanswered twice.  A returned call would have likely prevented any additional need to post on this forum.   I am a frequent customer who had many other Williams items purchased and ordered with monies already spent, deposits made, etc.   I had money refunded to me by the first dealer.   And although these are just model trains, and delayed products are routine,  there should be some offer of explaination and somewhat accurate estimates of delivery.  Especially when the estimated dates are over 3 years and these were missed several times.  I also did not want to miss out on obtaining a set of these items which I advocated heavily for Williams to produce over the years.
I am Williams' loyal customer, and rave about the quality and value of these products every chance I get in the O Gauge community.   Take a look at all those gray cards I have sent in over the past couple of years since Bachmann aquired Williams.   Customers just want timely and accurate updates, and perhaps an explaination of delays.
The new locomotives are here though, and they look fantastic.  I have posted photos of the locomotives on another O Gauge forum.

3rail,
Thank you for the update.  My 3rd dealer lost track of my order when I called this week.  Within days he had a set in stock for me though.  I am eager to pick these up on my days off this week!  Finally !

Where are the Amtrak Genesis Phase V locomotives ?

I ordered these when first announced.   Two dealers have since cancelled my order due to the fact they were ceasing sales of items.  I have them on order again through another dealer.  The latest info on my other thread suggested late July or early August.  Early August is soon to be late August.   I assumed 2012 was the year we were discussing?
