Title: How to use old remote turnout with new speed controller
Post by: davidbfranco on December 31, 2019, 05:36:47 PM
I purchased the Santa Fe War Chief - Flat River Set (Item No. #00746) with the E-Z Tracks for my sons.  It comes with the CEC Wall Pack w/Speed Controller.  At an old Mom and Pop model train store, I found a remote turnout, but it turns out that the remote turnout has a cord with spade terminals on it, but the speed controllers I have do not have the A.C. accessory terminals like the BACHMANN HO 46605A SPEED CONTROLLER.

How can I get the remote turnout to work with the speed controller I have?

Scrounge up a 16V wall-wart rated for at least 1 amp (1,000 ma) and use it for the switch motors. It doesn't matter if it's AC or DC.
