Thank you both for the information. As I understand the directions on the command plus, I should be able to run the turntable, the 2-6-0 Alco (which seems fine on any programmed section), and one of the non-DCC locomotives, but the non-DCC needs to be run on station 0. Is that correct?

Also, knowing that it would void the warranty, how difficult is it to install a decoder? Will it harm the engine?

I have the ez command plus and initially it works great. I am having trouble programming my turntable and other locomotives. My son (5) and I recently bought the 4-8-4 Union Pacific Overland Limited set. When I attempt to program it to a different position on the command plus, I can hear a high pitched noise from the engine, but no movement thereafter. The turntable will run on it's own position. Can anyone help with this problem?

My son and I have had the Overland limited 4-8-4 set for about a month now. Two days ago, it would run solo or pull the additional cars without issue, but now it won't run at all. The controller powers our 2-8-2, 2-6-0, and Conrail diesel without issue. The lead and trailing trucks seem to be loose, but I can't recall if there was an attachment under the chassis that kept them more in line. Also, when UP is on the track, the red indicator light dims when we turn it to full power, but glows bright (as usual) when the trailing truck is off the track. We cleaned the track as it is underneath the christmas tree (although the track radius is larger than the hanging branches) and cleaned the wheels yesterday without success. Any advice or assistance would be helpful. Thank you.
