Title: Adding a back EMF decoder to a DCC on board loco?
Post by: chucknlead on April 09, 2012, 08:16:15 PM
I was looking at the B&O EM1 locomotive specs. It does not appear to have a back EMF decoder. Does it have a provision to "plug in" a back EMF decoder like the Lenz Silver  AND  a Sound decoder?

Thanks, John S.

You did not look very close. Look again, you can order the optional plug in SoundTraxx Tsunami "Module" which has everything you will want, including BEMF.

Search the HO forum for EM-1.

The loco comes without the sound module and just a motion/light decoder in the tender.

Take time to look up the document for this loco as all the decoder sound info is here. You will find the link when you search the HO forum for EM-1.
