Title: Christmas Special
Post by: Suepahr on December 25, 2012, 03:31:56 PM
Bought my husband his first train - Bachmann ready to run Christmas Special. The locomotive does not smoke. He added the drops as directed. Any suggestions?

Sorry if this is an obvious question but.. is there an on-off switch for the smoke unit on the bottom of the engine?  I looked at the product description and it doesn't indicate that one way or the other.

Not sure but I don't think there is a switch on the bottom.

Have you tried setting the engine on the track and having the output handle of the transformer about two/thirds turned up while engine is in nuetral, that should get some kind of smoke effect after three minutes.
