Title: Bachmann Alco FA2 Diesel Locomotive with Sound Value SoundTraxx
Post by: nctrains on February 16, 2012, 10:12:44 PM
I just purchased this awesome locomotive. It has immediately become my favorite engine. The engine is DCC sound-equipped with Sound Value SoundTraxx® diesel sound package with prototypical engine exhaust, air horn, short horn, and bell. I have the Bachmann digital command dcc controller. I cannot figure out how to trigger the horns and the bell.  I know I must be doing something wrong or missing a step. Does it have to be programmed?

i can't say what the controls are for these on ez command, but on my digitrax system, 1 controls the bell, 2 is for short horn blast, and 3 is for long horn blast. try these on your system and see if they work.

To add to jward, don't forget to hit the function key first. ::) ;D
When it starts blinking press the 1,2,or 3 and it should work.
You probably already knew this but it does not hurt to check.

Wish the PRR unit came with roof antennas

I just ordered the MTH unit yesterday

Could have saved some $$$$
