Post by: Billbarman on March 03, 2008, 03:45:06 PM
I just bought a new bachmann James for my layout. When couple 13 cars behind him he just slips! It this only my James or does everyone's James do this?

I have a problem with my james too. whenever i want to run him around my layout, he will not budge until i move him in a running position. i checked all the gears and cleaned the pickups(brass piece that make the wheels move) i tried every thing but none of them worked, so i have to fiddle with the position

can anyone help me with the problem?

Could be a quartering problem, when he runs does he seem to jerk along the track?
