my understanding was the unpainted counterwieghts was a production error, and were only on the first run of the painted, unlettered with white trim models...everything after that first run has the counter weights painted

for me it will depend on what Bachmann uses as a prototype for their hoped for On30 4-4-0...

if it's a uncommon "export-ish" or obscure prototype loco, I'd probably have to start mowing laws or something to make the extra cash needed for MMI's North American standard 4-4-0  :-[

are you referring to the Southwest Narrow Gauge Yahoo group?

I don't see anything there at all, other a snippet about someone seeing something about 4-4-0's on PSC website...and I can't find any mention of On3/On30 4-4-0's at PSC's site either...

not that I doubt your word (I've heard similar rumors), but maybe you could post a link to where the additional info is?

don't worry Mr. B-

a few days one way or another won't make any difference...(or a few weeks for that matter)  ;)

Keep in mind that three foot gauge engines, properly scaled, when put next to the current Bachmann line would be awfully large.

well...I don't know about that ;)
...the original Mogul is a pretty accurate model of a 3' gauge loco and it looks pretty good with most of the Bachmann freight cars (which are also based on 3' gauge prototypes)

sure the Bachmann On30 Porter would be dwarfed by a big D&RGW K-36 (or one of the larger EBT Mikes), but that doesn't have much to do with the track gauge they were built to run on ;)
