Large / DCC Help
June 09, 2008, 11:58:53 PM
I am finally breaking ground on my railroad, and have recently took a break to look at different DCC products. There are quite a few choices out there, and I have no idea what to choose. I do have requirments though. I want to run phoenix and sierra sound, and I don't want to use battery power. I also want to be able to run a few engines at a time.

Thanks

Large / Making a 2-8-0 a 2-8-2
April 09, 2008, 10:32:23 AM
I'd like to make a 2-8-2T for my logging railroad. Does anyone know how to make and instal a trailing truck for a 2-8-0? And are there any sites of how-to's for that?

Thanks

Okay, just thought of this last night. What about a Spectrum 4-6-0? I know the anniversery version is "spectrum quality", but how about a real spectrum? eh? (I personally would like to obtain one and place a huge saddle tank on it  ;D)

Thanks Again Guys

Large / K-37 and K-36
April 03, 2008, 11:03:37 PM
Hey Y'all,

I was just looking at the D&RGW's narrow gauge roster and thought what is the difference between the K37 and the K36. I know the K37 was made from a standard gauge consolidation, is the 36 as well. Whats the difference?

Thanks,

I would love to see the Colorado and Southern mogul in 1:20.3 spectrum! I've always loved the LGB model, and the locomotive itself, but LGB is 1:22.5, and I need 1:20.3!  :(

Has a 3 truck shay and a 2-4-2 from aristocraft (which I still need to modify). The 2-4-2 "Ginn Linn" is used for the mine, and the shay "Stepney", is used for the Yellow Pine Lumber Co. So, I still need a locomotive for the my road engine, and a 2-6-0 would be perfect!

I also agree with Mr. Gunslinger87 with the K28 thing. I love the K28s.. and while it would require me to widen my curves, I still would get this beautiful locomotive!

But if I had to pick between the two........ I would have to say the mogul.. that is a wonderful locomotive, and I'd love to have it on the Yellow Hills Central

Well we've decided to change the disign, and get a little ahead of ourselves in the modeling.. heheh.. we've ended up deciding on a White Pass ALCo locomotive.. Any tips for that would be great!

Thank you all for your help!  I have designed a diesel and plan to use either the 45 tonner or Aristo Craft's RS3 wheels for it.
