Title: Bachmann Speed Controller #44213
Post by: Montfort on September 30, 2018, 06:17:01 AM
Hello all,
I use a Bachmann Speed Controller #44213 without any problem.
But I have a question about it: is it a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation)  controller ?
I think so but I'm not really sure;
Many thanks for your replies.

Chris,

I am not familiar with the controller you are referring to, however it can be determined with a simple volt meter. Read the voltage across the output on the controller. If it ramps up with the increase in the controller knob, then it is not a PWM. If the meter immediately goes to full voltage (probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 19V) then it is a PWM.

It's a linear DC power supply.
