Thank You! I will cleen my tracks and see if the problem is solved.  ;D

It is the E-Z Track System, and it is on carpet.

I dont think it is dead spots because I got all of my track and trains about 5 days ago, and the problem started from the very first run.

It makes sound when it is moving, but is silent when it stops. The track is fine because I have an Acela Express running on the same track, and it works fine. I feel so unlucky because of the problems with my acela express dummy with one set of wheels not turning, and now this. By the way, the Santa Fe goes regular speed, then slows down, then speeds up again constatly. >:(  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hey everyone! I was running my new Santa Fe DCC Equiped locomotive by Bachmann really slowly, and then, all of a sudden, it stopped, switched to reverse, backed up pretty fast, stopped, then continued its slow speed forward. I haven't done anything to the engine, and I am using the Bachmann E-Z Command Control system. Does the Santa Fe just move backwards to avoid getting stuck? Or is it a factory problem? :'(

Thanks,

Thank you! It says on your website that items that are less than a year old are fully covered. Does that include shipping? If it does, how would I get free shipping if I have to send it to you? Will you send labels to me? Thanks again!

Thank you for your helpful answer. I will call Bachmann as soon as possible to let them know about the defective dummy. Do I have to fill out a form or something? Or do I just call and ship? Do they send me a letter with the shipping stuff? Thanks again.

Hi Mr. Bach Man! I just opened my Acela Express HO set and ran it for five minutes. Then I noticed that the dummy engine (the engine in the back) had a pair of wheels that were not turning. I then started a series of tests. I ran the acela fast, then slow. The wheels had no problem turning when the train was going fast, but when I ran it slowly, I noticed that the very last pair of wheels where not turning! They were just sliding. At first, I thought it was the electrical pickups rubbing against the wheels too hard. But I lefted the electrical pickups and ran it again. The same problem. I think it is something inside of the dummy. If I put my hand lightly on top of the dummy and push it, there is no problem. However, I don't have a weight that fits inside the dummy! I do not know how to dissasemble the acela and do not want to break it while trying. Do I have to send the train back to bachmann? Will I have to pay for shipping? Do I have to send the whole train back, or just the dummy car?

Thanks,
   Christopher ???

HO / Re: Installing a decoder
June 16, 2008, 12:11:49 PM
Thank you! When I install the decoder, will the headlights and tail lights be directional? Right now, I have the E-Z Command system and am running it on the 10th address in analog mode, and all of the lights are on no matter what. The tail lights are always on, and the headlights are always on. Will my decoder solve the problem? I just had to ask that because I am busy until tuesday, so I can't get started on installing the decoder yet, but I am very excited! Thanks again for all your help!
