Heck guys, don't throw them wobblers in the trash. Send 'em to me!!!! I'll pay the postage.   ;D ;D

I will take some too. I don;t know if you guys have bad wheelsets or what but I have ZERO problems with my Bachmann wheels. Probably because I took them off the trucks and properly gauged them with a Kadee gauge tool and a little graphite in the journals. NO PROBLEMS. I does not take much to get something to perform well.

Large / Mr. Bach-mann help!!!
February 09, 2007, 11:21:46 AM
Mr. Bachmann, I just called service this morning regarding my Bachmann Big Hauler. I was told that because I have had the locomotive for over 1 year, I have to pay the charges now. If I want to get the Anniversary edition of the chassis, It's $142.00 with shipping. I was also told I could send it in to Philly for the $25 charge or something, I remember hearing $50 I don't remember. I don't know if I want to send it in because I have heavily modified it. What should I do? I would like to just have the chassis sent to me, then I would send the payment to Bachmann and I would switch it out myself. What should I do?!?!?!?!?!

Welcome aboard!  ;D

For detail parts I highly recommend Ozark Miniatures.

Sound, my first recommindation would be Phoenix (www.phoenixsound.com) or Sierra (www.soundtraxx.com) Sierra at $189 is cheaper, but for about $100 more, you can upgrade to Phoenix. Both are great quality systems.

I also recommend you join MLS (www.mylargescale.com). A great website for resources and the forums are great too.

Happy Railroading!  :)

Still shopping around. Can anyone give me some info on this loco? Trainworld is having a closeout on them and I would like to take advantage of it.

Here's one of mine... at present, the flagship of the Slate Creek:

Have another on order.

Oh, and Soundtraxx makes a GREAT cure to the "too silent" problem also.

That was one of my other thoughts, is it worth the Sieera Sound upgrade. I was listening to their sound for the Connie the other night and it sounds pretty good. Also, if I don't have sound installed now, would it be to much of a hassle to have be put in later?

My personal opinion, don't do track powered lighting on a coach. They are always flickering and if you stop at a station or something they turn off, which would never have been done on the prototype. I stay, stick with 9volt batteries and have a couple extra laying on the workbench just in case.

I also agree, I would love to swap out some trucks on my cars for the new ones.
