Limited run basically means it is a resin casting that does not involve creating expensive steel molds thus it is only available for a short period of time. If the buildings sell well we produce more - if they don't well......

If you don't hear it it's not there. Sometimes documentation can have misprints that are eventually corrected as you noted. SoundTraxx provides the documentation and is responsible for updating it so if you note things that don't seem correct feel free to contact them and bring it to their attention. Soundvalue decoders do not have all the features of a Tsunami2 decoder - it is a different processor that is more economical to manufacture from a price point perspective thus it is not as full featured as the more expensive Tsunami2.

Plasticville U.S.A. / Re: How About 'Plasticville Sodor'??
September 28, 2018, 11:12:13 AM
Unfortunately the cost of tooling these days would make a plastic kit a bit high for a beginner market like the Thomas range. Good examples are Tidmouth Sheds and Knapford station. They are fairly large but you can get an idea of what plastic kits might cost. The resin buildings are limited run and don't require a tooling investment which is pretty much why we do them.

When we do another production run of these cars I'm sure PRR will be included.

Large / Re: Adding sound to three truck shay
September 26, 2018, 03:37:13 PM
Sorry Bill but the Shay is way before my time and I'm assuming it is a sound board from the original run. If the original poster does not have experience installing decoders (especially in a loco as complex as the shay) I would suggest he take it to a pro who does DCC/Sound installations for either an install or advice. The board will probably work with newer models but it will take someone with "Shay experience" to trace all the wiring and install the board since it is definitely not "plug and play".

HO / Re: Shell removal 4-8-4 Niagara

Okay - here's the procedure:
Remove the lead and trailing trucks.
There is a hole in the chassis under the lead truck - remove the screw that is deep in there attached to the boiler.
Remove the three screws that hold the plate on that is located under the cab and carefully lift the plate but don't pull on the connection wires attached to it.
There are two screws under that plate (one on each side) that need to be removed.
The chassis will now drop out.

Your issues sound like decoder setting adjustments. You should consult your decoder (Digitrax) documentation. First thing to do is a reset to default values (CV8 to a value of 8). The speed adjustment could be speed step setting or momentum adjustments.

The crossing track gate is not "wired" like the reversing track sections so no, not without modifications.
