Thanks Len, I'll check them out. Bachmann Man, I called Bachmann they recommended posting here because they don't have them. Very confusing, to sell a complete car with coal load but not supply replacement loads.

HO / Re: SOUND VALUE DECODER
June 08, 2016, 12:35:49 PM
Thanks for the reply brokenrail. Why would they set the decoder up that way???? Not happy about that, seeing as it is my first sound loco. So is my option replacing the sound decoder? Is their a DDC decoder and a sound decoder or is it all in one???

HO / SOUND VALUE DECODER
June 07, 2016, 09:52:50 PM
I have a new HO EMD GP7 loco (item #65604). I would like the sound NOT to come on as soon as the track is hot. I would like the start up sound to come on when I call the loco up. What CV and value should I use??? Or does this decoder not support this function???

AGSB, you are correct on the 44915.
Thanks Len for the info. I guess am going to have to run a DC setup and DDC. Oh well more wiring work for me. But it's an opportunity to learn some more about this hobby.
I see where I have to look into the GP35 some more. bapguy thanks for the link.
Thanks all

HO / Decoders
March 27, 2016, 12:24:41 PM
I have 3 Bachmann loco's  I would like to convert to DDC. They are EMD GP 35 Santa Fe #2897, and two train set loco's, an EMD FT Santa Fe, set item #00647 and a steam loco Chattanooga, set item #00626. What if any decoder will fit them?

Also I have a Bachmann 4-4-0 that has a decoder E 20395, ver. # 046 item # 4495. what functions beside the light does it support? I have an NEC Pro Cab for DDC operations.
Thanks
Joe

February 16, 2016, 06:18:28 PM
I have a DC layout. I need some turnouts. Looks like Peco fits what I am doing. However I don't know which is better, the Insulated or electrified? Any advise would be very appreciated.

Would it make sense to solder feeder wires to the rail joiners as one connection?

Very nice work. I very much like the houses on the slope, reminds me of Shenandoah PA.

HO / couplers
February 07, 2016, 05:16:08 PM
Can someone tell me what couplers come standard on the Bachmann Silver Series rolling stock. Are they short shank, over / under / center mount etc??? Just getting into this hobby and I have no clue, but am learning, I think.
