I have a 64 sq. feet of total layout....I have a SEPARATE rail line for DC and a SEPARATE line for DCC.....although they do intersect at a 45 degree crossing at one point.....they appear to be one layout....but are very much separate electric wise!

I'm from Saukville WI....30 miles north of Milwaukee. I'm a produce manager for a grocery store here in town. Was born and raised in a Chicago suburb, with the "Rock" in my back yard! In the '60's remembering riding the "EL" with my Grandma downtown shopping! Moved to a little farm town (Fredonia, WI) in the late '60s with my parents....again(how lucky)with the Milwaukee Road in my backyard!

I model freelanced in HO....have a Bachmann DCC and love it for my small pike...L shaped...about the size of 2 4x8 sheets plywood.
Married....daughter at home....2 sons in Iraq.....1 son in College...1 son a bum! lol

Yes....I know they do have a system....but I wanted to build my own on a cd for play back on a cd player.

I know where I can buy them, but is there anywhere I can download assorted railroad background sounds..(free/paysight)..burn them onto a cd....and play them while I am running my trains?
