Title: Modifying faces
Post by: JLK2707 on September 15, 2012, 12:22:42 AM
What tools do you need to modify the existing Bachmann faces so they look like faces of other engines? (i.e. making Bachmann Gordon's face look like Green Arrow's face and making Bachmann Henry's face look like Duchess of Hamilton's face).

Here are links to the websites:

You want to modify the faces so that they look like other engines faces??  I may be wrong but I don't think thats possible. The only thing you can really do is get spares of faces that are similar to what you want and use them for the engines. You would have to figure out something about the eye holes though.

It is possible to create a mold of the face, make a copy, and modify that- other modelers in the Thomas community have done so, such as Knuckles/Sparkshot of Youtube and SiF, and the user "Stepney the 'Bluebell' Engine" here(creator of the "Railway Stories from Sodor" series on Youtube).

They and other modelers have loads of face-making experience under their belts, they would be the best to ask in this situation.

Hope I was of any help :)

That's a great idea! I need to look into that as well, it seems to be the best way to do that sort of thing.
