Title: Fitting bachmann modules to N gauge locos
Post by: tren1 on June 19, 2008, 08:23:24 AM
I have some 20 year old Graham Farish locos with 5 pole motors has anybody ever fitted a module into one of these. I am a retired electronics engineer so soldering or  wiring is no problem , but will they physically fit in.
I would need to know this before investing in DCC control

If you want a place for some N scale DCC research you might try:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ndcc

They have lots of info in the discussions.  There are some tiny decoders available.  Some modelers have installed decoders in small steam (like the Bachmann 4-4-0) by cutting away the coal or log pile in the tender, installing the decoder, and covering it up.

Have fun!
