Title: EM-1 2-8-8-4 decoder
Post by: sumfred on September 26, 2013, 05:07:20 PM
EM-1 decoder question:

does anybody know the supported CV's on the new decoder that Bachmann is using in the EM-1.
It appears that CV 5 (-max voltage i.e top speed-) can now be programmed which was not available on the older decoders.
Bachmann still shows the old decoder in their on-line literature.

Thanks for response but this decoder is in the N scale EM-1 and your sales info makes this a Lenz decoder.

Dear Fred,
You're right.
Check with the service department on Monday. They should have the info you need.

The EM1 has a 3 function decoder that is very similar to the Lenz Silver decoder.

What is wire 3 for on the N scale DCC decoder? I've never seen it before on other Bachmann decoders.
