HO / GS-4 Numbering Issues
July 22, 2009, 11:05:26 AM
One thing I have noticed on the War-Baby GS-4s is that 4459 and 4464 were NOT Gs-4s, 4464 was a non-skirted 73" driver, single Headlight GS-6, and 4459 was a GS-5, just a GS-4 with Roller Bearings, two of which existed, my suggestion is to put different numbers on the two engine or adjust them to be more prototypical.  Just my little note on the GS-4.  And the 4464 looked like this: http://cencalrails.railfan.net/sp4460hw.jpg

Yeah regular Maintence is good, I have an IHC Pacific that has a lot of scale miles on it, and about a year ago I had all of the side-rods replaceds because I never lubricated anything, now I know better, and got to my mikado before it had the same thing happen!

The engine could never run with only one contact, when mine runs onto the turntable, and I forget to turn the turntable on, when only 3 wheel sets are on powered tracks, the entire engine shuts off.

Yeah, a 4-6-4 Tank Engine is definatly something that would be perfect for me, an immediate purchase.  ;D

On my Mountain One of the wipers went bad, so about six or seven.  But what I would do Is get a whole new set of eight wipers from bachmann.

On Second Thought, I am going to go ahead and get the Heljan Turntable in a few months, but I need to know what improvements can be made for smooth operation, and where I can get the parts for the Improvements, Like the Metal Wheels, maybe Higher Quality Gears.

My initial Plan was to have the 130' turntable, but might I add that would be a good Idea, is I am an unemployed teenager, so my budget is in the $0-$80 range.

I hope the entire spectrum line of Passenger Cars come back!  I have a New York Central Observation Car, that I never got a matching car for, I don't trust other manufacturers to have an exact match in color.

The Atlas Tuntable, using it for a home-built turntable (before the Cheapy Walthers Turntable I used one, I still have it) can you give me some instruction on that?
