Williams by Bachmann / Re: Pics of my past layouts.
October 22, 2014, 12:20:17 AM
This week I am helping a friend move and he offered me a bunch of his HO stuff, so I think I'll build an HO layout. But I'll keep my O gauge stuff for the holidays. I love my Williams loco and plan to get more.

Hey 671,
The black material came from a shirt box that I cut up. Two issues I had with this method were that the figures move with the motor on curves and I had to make sure that friction between the the figures and the inside of the shell would not cause derailments, and that the fly wheel would not rub on the black material . It took some time tinkering until I got it to work.
Thanks!

Hey everyone. I have pics of my past layouts. The time spans over 5 years. Some stuff I've sold, regrettably. Right now I don't have on O gauge layout, but my might change soon. I'm between scales HO and O Gauge. Anyway hope you enjoy and please post some of your layouts as well I enjoy those!

Enjoy!

Hey Lee,
I used a air of older Life-Like O scale figures. I did have to do quite a bit of modifications to the figures ie amputations and even run zip ties through the chest of on of them. I've been getting quite a lot of grief of the humorous kind on facebook.

I love all of the pics you post here. How do you do it? I have tried posting pics on this site, and I can not because it comes back as an error "file is too large" I've tried lowering the picture quality, but that doesn't help.  Thanks!!

Hey all,
I want to share a couple of links of pics I have on FaceBook YouTube Model railroaders page of how I added a crew to my Williams by Bachman SD90.

I would much rather post the pics here, but the Bachman site keeps telling me that the file sizes are to large :( Anyway, hope you enjoy!

I'm really enjoying the pics of you layout! I love that you run what you have and you make it all work. I say this because I get caught up on the  "discipline" of making sure it's realistic and prototypical. Your layout inspires me to "loosen up" and just enjoy my trains! Thank you so much for sharing your railroad with us.

Hey guys,
All of you make excellent points. The reason I am considering the EZ Command is because of it price point. Yes I have a MTH SD70ACe, but it was a gift. I did not pay for it. I do not have the budget to support a plethora of sound locos  and the latest gadgets. If funds were not an option I'd buy the MTH DCS Commander and a MRC prodigy Squared system. That being said the EZ command is very appealing  to me at this time.

Jerry,
Thank you for your input! I really appreciate it. I think I will go with the Bachman EZ Command. Based on the research I've done including your input it should work just fine for what I need. In the past I've had the chance to operate the older Digitrax Zephyr and a MRC Prodigy Express. Both nice, but I can not afford either one now. I ran into an EZ Command on Bay for like $50 plus shipping new. I'm going to jump on that one. Thanks again for your time your have been very helpful!!
