HO / Some Newbie questions
January 01, 2010, 04:50:26 PM
I have reading and on occasion posting to this board for awhile now and have some questions.

1) what type of oils do you use to lubricate your locos?  I have 5 in service.

2) could someone educate me about turnouts I here you talk about #5 #6 turnouts please explain what the numbers mean?

I sent my 2-6-2 UP Prarie in around thanksgiving and a new loco came back about 3 weeks later However they said at this time of year the turn around was about 6 weeks.

I also had the same happen last night with a tank car, I was given. It was not a big deal but it did make me wonder about quality control a bit.  In any event I popped it back in and car is now in service.

This year I added a homemade Hanukkah train to my holiday train collection. However I was wondering if anyone has ever commercially produced a Hanukkah train? Anyone know?
