Title: 0-6-0 ho dcc smoke unit broken wires

Hi can anyone help me i have broken wires from the smoke unit on my USRA 0-6-0 slope tender steam train
product code 51601 there seems to be a grey wire a blue wire and a yellow wire floating around inside the boiler can anyone tell me where these wires are supposed to attach, the smoke unit has never worked as the wires were broken off when i got it.

WOW what I know about wire color codes is this. The yellow wire usually is for the rear light. The blue wire is generally a common wire, probably for the smoke unit, but it used for headlight, rear light, or other functions, but like I said maybe the smoke unit since it doesn't work. The gray wire normally is the ground wire for the motor.

Scott,

I cut those wires and run without smoke, but I do have a photo showing the grey wire on the right:

That's lead and epoxy filling the former smoke unit.

Went looking for the left side (photo), but none show the left wire:

Already clipped and tucked under, sorry.

Your model has an on/off switch in the cab.  The wires leading to the switch are blue and pale orange.
