General Discussion / Re: G scale compatibility

Aristocraft, USA Trains or LGB brass track is the usual for Garden Railway use, as stated above the Bachmann tinplate hollow track is only suitable for indoors, it is ideal for the Christmas Tree layout in your Lounge Room.

Certainly. Aristocraft, LGB and USA Trains track mates perfectly, all use Code 332 rail, Bachmann locomotives and rolling stock will operate on all these brands of track.

I am not using the full height coupler on my 1:20.3 rolling stock, I am using the lower shank coupler to mate with existing rolling stock.
However, I was so impressed with the new style knuckle coupler, I have fitted a full height coupler to the tender of my Bachmann  Connie 2-8-0, with the lower floor on this tender, this mates up perfectly with older Bachmann coupler heights.  The new coupler is a great improvement on previous!

Bachmann certainly sell wheelsets, but I do not think bogies are available at present, if ever!!
Item number for 24.5 mm wheels is 92422.

"EUREKA, I HAVE IT".  The Eureka American arrived today, it would have to be the most beautiful Bachmann locomotive ever produced.
I am most impressed with my purchase, thanks Trainworld and Bachmann!

You are correct, Jon.  In fact I mounted a New1:20.3 straight shaft coupler from my New 1:20.3 Flat Car into the original Connie Draft Box, and it now works perfectly with the lowered couplers which are supplied with these newer cars.

Loco Bill, I sincerely hope your information is wrong, as I have just ordered a Eureka 4-4-0 from Trainworld.  They are certainly a beautiful locomotive.

While I agree that the Connie is my favourite loco, it is out of service at present, due to the pony truck pivot point cracking, I have requested a replacement from Bachmann Service.  Which I hope they can supply!
