I'm starting in radio control too, but I am using a Futaba 72 mghz control and reciever, now I am saving up to a module that controls speed of the locomotive. anyway I don't know much about that sort of stuff.

HO / three truck 80 ton shay
October 15, 2010, 07:12:30 PM
Dear Bachmann,

I was looking for an undecorated wood cab shay with three trucks, the problem is that I can't afford the ones with DCC and Sound, maybe only DCC but it's out of my budget. did your company ever make standard DC locomotives by chance. if not can I run DCC and Sound on a DC layout? some DCC equipped locos do.

thanks,

Al

thats the truth, but when you say "pry- apart" you mean that there are little plastic latches on each side of the caboose or little slits in the front and back?

thanks guys, and of course it's bachmann, maybe a 1990's model, anyway I only need the undecorated caboose to weather and place as a lawn ornament(on my HO scale Layout) to mark the true model railroaders home. thanks again

Im really pleased that James turned out so well in G scale, I'll have to buy him when I get the chance

HO / caboose question.
September 25, 2010, 02:22:28 PM
hello, anyone that does not know who I am, I'm alex and I've been modelrailroading since I was ten years of age. anyway I have a classic UNION PACIFIC R.R bobber caboose and since my grandpa gave it to me when I was 12 or 13 years, it had quite of play, tried converting it to thomas and friends range but that didn't work and today I'm converting it to at Tside shed, but Istill want the weathered body( plus I love the classics) is it possible to buy a Silver-Series bobber and place that underframe to the U.P.R.R shell?

thank you very much.

look, guys, as much as I would like to have those products too, we will just have to wait it out, I would like to share this analogy. "if your mom is baking cookies, would you like to wait to get the warm, melty, chewy deliciousness, or just plain cookie dough?" coose wisely

I like cookie dough! 8D

not helping I(, the point is, is that people would like a nice complete model and would like to wait until the due date, but if changes needed than I don't blame them for changing the date. no offense james

I have a question about the Thomas product in general, I am planning to buy all the parts and put it together as such, but to coupling I want to convert from the decorative plastic hook and place in these in their place

if anyone has anything to say, please say so, I'm pretty sure your remarks are much more complimentary then my boss's remarks to me anyday.

Thomas & Friends / Re: Why knapford is popular

yeah, Knapford is even my favorite station on the island. I would like to purchase the kit when it comes out

well, considering I want to try and make comedy, but the only writing I can do is something with a moral at the end, I am not made out of comedy mind you, so I might need help with scripts too, editing and audio effects.

Hello all,
I have officially put up auditions for characters in my Bachmann Thomas series "The New Adventures of Thomas and his Friends." now I know I made this announcement before and it was false, I apologize, but to show you it's real, I will post the "Pilot Episode" basically dressing the blank set and running the trains, kind of like Captain Punjab. but if you have a YouTube account and want to audition, heres the link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr6rGx4sCNE

might not make sense, but to summerize,

rules are

1. use audio format and [a] pictures of the engine/engines your auditioning for. (doesn't matter whether their your bachmann hornby tv series model cgi, what ever, just as long as its the character your doing.)

2. I will not accept video auditions( not to be a fuddy duddy but I only like audio format with pictures so I don't have to watch the camera shake around like an earthquake is happening.)

3. I don't know what three is but I might figure it out in rule #4.

4. ignore what I said about toby, audition for toby, he'll be in a few first episodes.

5. I just like making rules, I have no idea what Rule 5 is.

there are the rules, just ask if you have questions( other than the facts that I put extra rules that mean nothing at all type of questions.) any who.

GOOD LUCK,

Alex Wittman
