Had a similar problem with Gordon a couple of years back. One day he just moved really slowly when the trottle was max out and started to smoke a bit. Turns it it was most likely a short circuit or something. I was advised to send it to Bachmann service dept. which I did and got a replacement for a small price compared to having to buy another engine : )

I have a smilar problem with a right hand ez track switch when my Acela express goes through it. The heavy weight of the locomotive pushes down on the movable rails of the switch causing it to move to the center, not straight or right. For some reason theres alot of slack in my switch track. My advice is to replace the switch,but maybe someone else has a better idea.

Unfortunately, I think I'd have to be a resident of the UK to be able to obtain these parts. Thanks anyways.

Though technically not a "Thomas" product, the Harry Potter trainset is similar since it and the Thomas products are based off British railway equipment. I dug up the two coaches from my basement and want to put them back in service- but not with the plastic wheels.

How and where can I obtan metal wheels equivalent to the size of the plastic wheels that came with the coaches?
