Title: Bachmann 1225 loco
Post by: Rockie53 on October 21, 2015, 06:52:27 PM
Trying to find age and if parts are available for a Red Christmas edition 1225 loco. North Pole & Southern. Has Baldwin Locomotive Works Philadelphia 1916 emblem on either side near smokestack. Lots of metal parts including drive and wheels. Lots of detail. Large scale. No coal tender with it. Thank you!

Welcome. There is a large scale forum also.

Check the parts page for possible parts.

Thank you Rich, in general researching I found models that weren't made quite as well as this one.  Less metal, plastic wheels. Is there a model number I might be missing?  I don't have the tender car could it have been on that?

Quite sure someone will jump in. Possibly the Bach-Man.

Look at the below link for possible age.

Dear Rockie,
The Ten Wheeler was our first Large Scale loco.  The first one was battery powered and did indeed have plastic wheels. It has been in production continually since 1989 and it has been improve constantly.  The general rule of thumb id the newer the better.
Call the service department to see if they have the parts you need for your version.
Have fun!
