General Discussion / spectrum steam
May 15, 2011, 09:16:59 PM
I have purchased a 2-6-6-2 articulate steamer (Pocahontas #40) Item 28704 DCC w\sound. my question is along in the box came quite an assortment of accessories, which I like very much (I like toys and gadgets). Anyhow I have found an electronic chip in a bag and was wondering what it did and how to hook it up? I looked through all the manuals and the CD but no mention of this chip. I opened the tender and there appears to be a connecting point on the decoder but it just don't fit. Can anyone assist me with this info please?
Thank you teekaho!!!

Excellent!!! I watched the dcc dvd that came with my bachmann digital commander and the way they hook it up to that system with the one cord for both units is simple , its just that I looked for this connector on mine and could not find one. it does have two connectors for track one is the standard connector but the other one is a two prong connector. does the booster connect to this and if so does it come with the proper cord?

I have three steamers from the bachmann spectrum series. a 2-10-2, 2-6-6-2, 2-10-2 all of them came with smoke powder but I yet to find where to put it or how I should use it. I would love to have the realism of smoke to go along with that great sound. Could anyone help?

General Discussion / E-Command Dynamis Handset

Just dropping a line to ask if there is a different type of booster for the Dynamis wireless set. I purchased the unit (handset & receiver) but my layout is big enough that it will need some extra power. its approx 3'x32' and will run approx 15 loco's at a time. I looked at the 5 amp booster you offer but the Dynamis doesn't appear to have the same hook ups like the digital commander. What is an engineer to do?
