Title: Power Truck for 38 Ton Two-Truck Shay
Post by: oyle on November 28, 2007, 05:49:07 AM
Hallo
I bought a 38 Ton Two-Truck Shay (from 1997?) unused, OVP, but the Power Trucks had britteled plastic and broken train-wheel-Axel Cog wheel.
What should I do?
oyle, Oslo, Norway.

Actually, what you have is the 36 ton Shay! Since your power truck(s) are cr*pped out, your bets option is to purchase the metal power trucks that go on the 38 ton Shay. They can be purchased as a separate item and retro-fitted (which is what I had done.) Once that is done, your Shay should be as reliable as a brand new model! ;D

Steve
You are right about my Shay as a # 36 (i didnt know that there were any 36). I have the original box and there I find the nr 36. (81198)
The better spare-trucks, would that be # 88999 at Trainworld for US$110?
If not, where can i get the trucks you mention?
Thanks
Øyvin
