On30 / Going from EZ command to the Dynamis
June 05, 2015, 01:56:00 AM
I am in On30 and had 4 of my 5 engines programed for the EZ Command. Then I decided to buy the Dynamis system .My new center cab ran beautifully under EZ command. When I went to program it under the Dynamis, I got sound, lights - but no movement even if the engine was in CV 3.

Can the Dynamis know what CV a locomotive was programmed in and accept it so it runs?

Is there a way to locate what  number engines are programmed in?

Large / Manual volume adjustment on the 3 truck shay
April 26, 2013, 08:45:14 PM
I have a new 3 truck shay with sound that I got out to run today for the first time. I am using a USA TRAINS 10 DC amp power supply. I had no sound whatsoever, no matter the speed. I read in the forum that there is Manual volume adjustment is on the circuit board. Where do I find this - under the coal bunker or in the water tender?

Also I know as I use DCC in my On30 layout that flashing headlights are related to voltage. The rear light lit up, but not the front headlight. The engine was new in the box I got from a friend. It ran flawlessly except at full power when the light flashed, but at a lower speed she ran great.

Any suggestions would be most welcome. I took the engine as it has sound. I have most of the rest of the 1:20 non sound locomotives except the K27.

Cheers,
Jeff
