Title: Worn Down Gear
Post by: Ibtimothy on July 08, 2010, 11:48:50 AM
I have an old AHM/Rivarosi 4-4-0, "Genoa" and the idler gear has worn down, and the locomotive will not move... Is this a part that can be bought and easily replaced? Or is there no way of getting it fixed. It does not feel like it is able to be removed. also, the plate that the screw goes into, in-between the wheels, looks like it has slipped down, maybe? It doesn't seem to want to come out, but there is nothing else to screw into.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try Googling Rivarossi parts or Rivarossi parts catalog but be sure to include the second 's' in the name.
