I am replacing the #1 connector on my spectrum 2-8-0 it has a light one one end and wires to the motor . Do Ihave to take the under frame a part or does the shell come a part Thanks Ken

Hi I have a heavy mountain 4-8-2. The side rods will not stay in place the pins keep comming out of there plastic holes. Is this a problem I can fix? I do not want to send it back because iI was told they would not fix it but would replace it .

Hi I have a 2-8-2 that has started running as though the gears are not messing at low speeds it is not smooth very bumpy at high speeds it is much better any ideas Ken

I took off the old wire 125 turns which was about 19 feet of wire. I then put back 125 turns The lenght of wire is not important it is the number of turns. I was not happy with the way it looked so I did another using Jims method of one row 25 windings and varnish the row it looks great so far. The first field I did worked great motor runs well. I am rewinding the field coil for a marx 027 motor. does anyone know an easy way to do it .They are not hard to do but I have trouble making the windings look good Ken

On Sept 18 07 I sent two locomotives for repair I recieved them today Aug 13 07 . Which is great I live in Canada Shipping was 20 days.Thanks Bob B for the great service Ken

Another way to wire Peco to Atlas is to run a short wire on one side jioning the two points together then run a wire from each side to your switch this way you only need two wires to your switch. I have done this it works great. Ken

I have 3 mikes all with gear problems the good news is athearn now has the replacement gears have replaced mine all work great.The gears are available from athearn.

Thanks for all the help I have it all working now .I had to add power feed because of my reverse loop.I am going to peco because my swich machines are under the table and peco works better for me in this case. Ken

I read the modification on the web for peco turnouts but Iam not sure what they want you to do with the power wires you attach to the frog.Can someone help with this thanks Ken
