HO / Re: Support Your LOCAL hobby shop?
February 07, 2009, 02:04:12 AM
Both hobby shops around me are supplied by Horizon hobby, which tends not to have the best prices. I still make the 62 mile round trip to one of them about once a week, but the other has lost my business because most of the people there make it seem like I'm wasting their time by coming in there and not buying the most expensive R/C hellicopter. Driving really isn't a problem for me. I usually end up driving around 1000 miles a week. I can't order online without a credit card, so local is my only option.

SMALL STEAM. we have enough big mainline steam, but not very many people have big enough layouts to run them on. I still want my 0-4-0 (t?). As for diesels, I could go for an early boxcab. I'm done now.

Woodland Scenics dry transfers work well. How extensive are you wanting to reletter them?

we need SMALL steam. That 2-6-0 looks fitting. I hope the spectrum 0-6-0 is put back in production, and I'm still wanting a nice looking/running 0-4-0. Also wanting a 2-truck Shay.

I can dream........

HO / Re: Easiest Bridges?
January 12, 2009, 01:07:40 PM
You can connect an Atlas bridge to the EZ track wothout modification, unless you want to cut off the plastic clips on the end of the EZ track. The bridge would just take the place of a 9" straight.
