Title: parts size
Post by: pdlethbridge on January 08, 2009, 01:23:42 AM
What I find frustrating is the mix of part sizes. Let me give a couple of examples.
INSULATED RING TERMINAL, #10 STUD, 8 - 0/4 WIRE
#6 SPADE TERMINAL, BLUE
#8 RING TERMINAL, BLUE
I looked every where for a guide to part sizes but couldn't find one. What sizes are hese?

Make your own using Micro Mark thin brass strip, proper size drill bit, pin vise. Trim to size with small wire cutters. Works for me.

Allied has solder lugs, click "View More Keystone......lugs & wire nuts" for different styles.

Visit the Keystone site, download the PDF "Lugs & Terminals", more pictures for you.  8)

I took a quick look and see the hole is for #4 screws. If this hole is too large, reverse the lug and use the small hole, maybe open a little with drill and pin vise. Maybe trim with small wire cutters.
Just some thoughts.
