Title: HO GE 70 Ton Diesel
Post by: popsrancho on September 11, 2007, 04:14:16 PM
I have a GE 70 Ton diesel that wil not stay on the track.  It is always derails even crossing a rerailer. I tried running it on my layout and on a friends layout with the same result. My friend has the same engine and his runs with out a hitch. I don't know what is causing the problem.

Let me ask you a few questions.  You said it even derailed on a rerailer.  Does it derail on straight
track?

Are the wheels in gauge?
Are any of the sideframes bent?
As RAM said, is the coupler too low?
Does the front of the engine rise off the track when running?

Take it to you local hobby shop and see if they know what's wrong with it.

Some times on straight, but mostly on curves or swiths.

Thank You for the help. I found the front truck was out of gauge, and the front coupler was alittle to low.
