Just received a 55 Ton Three-Truck Shay brand new in unopened box. Question is, do these normally come with a instruction manual as there was none with mine. Is there a place to download them on the internet? ::)

On this page, scrolling almost halfway down, you'll find the PDF versions of the Big Haulers instruction manual and the exploded view part diagrams for your Shay.
Thanks for the information
Dick,
The information in the Bachmann's Big Hauler's General Assembly Instructions manual is for a Bachmann Big Haulers 4-6-0 locomotive train set not a Bachmann Spectrum 55 Ton Three-Truck Shay.
Is your Shay sound DCC decoder equipped or the DCC ready version? Not sure – what is the product item number on the box label?
Mine is the DCC ready model no sound yet. By the end of next week it will have both. I did notice that the information was not for the Shay. I was kind of used to Aristocraft they had good manuals with all of there products. I did get a CD with the unit but all it really shows is how to lube it.
Dick,
While not instructions, there are 14 pages of exploded diagrams many users find helpful.

Your best bet would be to contact the Bachmann service department to see if they have any copies of the instruction manual.

I bought the DCC/sound version and got the history/lube dvd and the sound dvd(couldn't open it). I got the exploded diagrams but no user manual. Very appreciative of all the knowledgable folks out there.
