HO / spare loco bodies.
January 25, 2010, 07:39:46 AM
I am interested in upgrading my dcc gp30/35 to CSX liveries.
WHile I would rather not respray the existing ones, I was wondering if there are loco bodies available as spares.
In particular I am moving over to CSX branding.

thanks in advance

Are there spares of loco bodies for the GP-30 / GP-35?
I have a number of different liveries however, is it possible to buy different liveried shells to change the ones I have?

thanks in advance.

HO / Re: Impact of the Dollar Drop
March 13, 2008, 11:08:11 AM
Quite obviously the dollar drop is affecting the global market because of bad practice and this unstoppable desire for possession.
The housing markedt has gone through the roof forcing people to live beyond their means, feulled by publicity and this "fantastic" online fantasy tv world of home celebrities.
Regarding model railroading, here in Europe it is cheaper to buy stuff because of the favourable currency exchange but the problem with hobbies like this is that once they have got you you are under theri power: its an addiction!

What had shocked me the most from this interesting thread is that people can boast of having offensive weapons in thier home as if that is the roght thing to do. Are you so scared that you need guns loaded with hollwo point bullets? I think you should emigrate!

HO / Re: removing ge e33 shell for inspection.

Thanks for the informaition. The thing is it rumbles, as if something were grinnding, a gear or something like that. I have chipped it with a lenz silent Back MF  dcc chip but should it rumble?

Thanks

HO / removing ge e33 shell for inspection.
November 05, 2007, 02:25:16 PM
One of the things the bachmann diagrams never show is how to remove the shell!

How do I remove the shell from a Spectrum ge e33 so I can inspect the gears as something seems to be grinding?

Are they supposed to be such bad turners on curves? it keeps derailing at less that third radius curve.

Thanks

HO / rumbling spectrum ge e33
October 12, 2007, 05:36:14 PM
Hi,

I've got a spectrum ge e33 virginian with a lenz decoder. Beautiful machine.
However the engline "rumbles" as if something were grinding. I have only run it a couple of times an I get the rumble. Is this normal?

Also what is the tightest radius this will run on. I don't want to redesignmy layout just for one loco.

HO / changing leds in gp30 35 or 40
June 29, 2007, 02:48:36 AM
Hi,

Has anyone changed the led inthe gp30, 35 or 40s? They are far too dim, Would changing them for a larger brighter led cause any problems?
