Title: EZ Command decoder won't respond
Post by: jsmckillip on July 23, 2013, 08:50:36 PM
Use NCE Power Pro system with JMRI Decoder Pro.  Have Bachmann 0-6-0 with 2 function decoder.  Changed the address from short address 3 to long address 353.  Now the loco won't respond at all.  What do I do to fix this?

You can reset the decoder back to factory defaults by setting cv8 to 8

Do it on a service track in service track mode if you need.

I didn't think those decoders would take a long address.

I could be wrong but I'd double check.

if its the same 2 function decoder used in the disels, it will take a 4 digit address. but sometimes they won't take programming changes at all without a 1k ohm resistor across the programming leads. I am using digitrax, not sure if this problem also affects nce.
have you tried running it on address 03?
