i drove the F7A into the sink filled with water.....she was quiet for a few months before i stopped running her (she still ran even though she got wet....really wet)
But ive cleaned her and lubed her gears but she still is noisey.....do i need to run her into the sink again?

Btw there is a post about that story in this forum.

Where can i get a Drive shaft for my Bachmann F7A?
I seemed to have "lost" it.
Its been awhile since i drove it so im not sure where it went to.

Also is there any way i can shut this thing up......it is so loud it drowns out my stereo.....on full volume  ;)
Any help is welcome...very much so!

My Bachmann controler (the one that came in a set with a E60P) Has a AC connection and an DC (to track) connection and on my AC connection i have about three switches connected to (bachmann E-Z Track Switches have lil' boxes that you can hook together with one AC wire leading ino one of them and yet u can power all three switches) the AC side and i can throw two swithes at the same time while my train is running and my trains will not slow down or even stop

no such thing as a stupid question also ur new to the hobby so its ok to ask questions that we may think as easy or silly questions! ;) DCC is Digtal Command Control its where there are lil' computer chips that basically controls a locomotives functions...ex. lights, sound, and movement of the loco.
on your tyco transformer check the voltage if its labeled on it most loco's cant handle more than 12 Volts if its from an HO scale set it should be 12 volts but u'll have to check.
the lighted cars will work on DC/DCC
switches are on AC power (bachmann E-Z track only, i dont know about the others) same goes for lighted houses
well i hope this helps you

Im jus pondering but could it be a song tributing John Luther "Casey" Jones?
also if it is his loco was a 2-8-0 loco type. ICRR #638 or a 4-6-0 #382 "Cannonball Express"

i hope i dont mislead you or anyone else

Ben Wang-
Bmann turnouts have metal frogs, at least on their E-Z track turnouts their E-Z track is very reliable i really like it....on bad thing is the connections are a little weak

i have that highballer set with a F7a loco and i have a story to tell you guy.
so one day i was upset at this loco b\c it didnt draw enough power all of a sudden so i went through a checklist that are common Bmann probs. and i couldnt figure it out so like i said i was upset at it and i laid track up to my sink(i was sick and tired of the problems it gave me) and filled the sink up then i ran the train into the sink  :o   it was funny....but im not finished yet, two days later it ran wonderfully...and like a jack rabbit i might add, but the tap water didnt ruin a thing!   a  future commercial for Bachmann trains.........              "Bachmann trains are Cheap and Indestructable!"         it was fun really alot of fun  ;D
