Title: Norfolk Southern 30th Anniversary
Post by: jward on October 26, 2011, 11:12:14 AM
evidently, in celebration of ns's 30th anniversary next year, ns has been taking publicity photos of gp30s from it's 3 predecessor roads. there is one each from conrail, n&w and southern. the photos have been posted on norfolk southern's facebook page. with norfolk southern's renewed interest in steam, and their nod to their heritage using classic diesels, it is good to see a railroad celebrating its past instead of hiding from it.

This will make it easier to visualize.

I see Norfolk Southern Railway locos in Northampton, MA once in a while since they teamed up with Pan Am Railway to form the Patriot Corridor. They own the Pan Am Southern which use the former Pan Am Airways logo.
