Title: Will Bachmann N powerpack work in Wales, Uk

Dear Mr Bachmann,

I have a Wales UK customer wanting to know if the the Bachmann Powerpack in the "Spirit of Christmas" set will work on UK household power, is an adaptor of some type needed?

The powerpack if bought in North America will not plug into outlets in the UK, if bought in the UK it may still have the wrong plug unless Bachmann intended to sell this set in the UK.

If the power pack does not have 230v AC 50hz written on it then on no account should it be plugged into a UK mains socket. Neither should a travel adaptor plug be used.

It is possible to purchase a transformer from Maplin in the UK that will change the voltage from 240v to 110.  I have USA powerpack and use them here in the UK with the Maplin transformer.

It would probably be much easier to buy a Bachmann UK wall wart.
