Title: Deprogramming Bachmann EMD GP 35
Post by: yguy on October 18, 2009, 12:18:05 PM
I programmed my GP 35 Diesel using my MRC Express to run on my DCC layout.
How do I deprogram the engine to run on my DC HO layout?

you cannot deprogram a decoder but you can re-program a decoder. i assume you have the dcc bachmann gp35. to the left of this message, click on ez command then click on 1 amp decoder instructions, pdf. also may need the instructions of the mrc express

unless you have disabled the analog feature in the decoder, it should run on dc without having to do anything else. if you have analog disabled, it is merely a question of enabling it again.

according to my digitrax decoder manual, the analog conversion feature is a function of cv29. it is a little complicated to describe here, better to look up the decoder manula online here:
http://www.digitrax.com/ftp/decodermanual.pdf
the relevent pages are pages 32-35. since decoders conform to nmra specs, you should be able to follow these steps for any decoder.

Dear yguy,
Setting CV 8 to 8 will restore factory defaults.
Have fun!
