Title: connecting MRC Railpower 1300 to a bank of EZ track turnout switches
Post by: waynefrost on December 16, 2015, 08:11:37 PM
I've connected the red power wire from the accessories connection on the Railpower to the side connections on the switch. Railpower unit is on and still the switches don't work. Any ideas why?

Do you have a switch control box connected in between the EZ track turnout and the power pack?
Sure you have the wire connected to the AC terminals of the power pack?
Does the EZ track turnout have a powered switch machine attached to it? (In other words, sure it is not a manual turnout?).
Do you have a multi meter?

Click Here  (http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/dwg/dwgs/HO__6_Turnouts_Instructions.pdf) for Bachmann Remote Turnout instructions.

Sometimes overlooked,  if you have type A slide switch is the need to press to activate the switch machine installed in the turnout.  While the press down on the black slide switch must be released quickly, it needs to be firm.
