What are you using to control your trains? Assuming its DCC, what brand? If it is the Bachmann E-Z command, try pressing the #10 button. Last I remember that was the function button for headlights.

I am using the bachman E-Z command controler.According
to the label on the controler #10 is for the analog loco,
if one is used in conjunction with a dcc loco on the
layout.

Function 0 on DCC is headlights. Press the function button, then #10.

::)Thanks guy's, yes I did function then and #10
turns it on,function then #1 goes dim to bright.
Bright is brighter than dim,but it is not what I
would call much of a light even on bright. The
need of a different LED is needed here I think.
Thanks again for all of your help folks. ::)
