Title: N Acela spinning wheels
Post by: mhorgan on February 02, 2009, 04:20:24 PM
Hello.  Hoping someone can suggest a fix.  I just purchased the N-Scal Acela.  With all five cars on the track, the power car spins its wheels and barely moves.  When I give it more power the wheels just spin faster with no better traction.  Seems to be better when run alone, but gets worse with each added car attached.

Thanks.

Hunt, Thanks for your reply.  I will try that.  Didn't think I'd need to so soon.  Only one month old with little running time.  Is it normal that one wheel has a rubber ring?  And Iso.Alcohol won't hurt it?  Thanks. -mh

That rubber ring is called a traction tire, if one wheel has one on it then there should be one on the other wheel of that axle. If it is missing, that is probably the reason you are spinning your wheels.
