dats,I would send the locos and money in for service and or replacement. they are pretty good about that.In your cas they would probably replace the locos. you'll probably drive yourself crazy looking for parts, besides the new ones are nice.Hope this helps-----------hobo

bachmann n scale locos better than atlas or kato,Ithink not.Idont know if you own any or have taken them apart, but they are superior to bachmann in every way. bachmann makes some good n scale diesels and steam, but they are not in the same league as atlas or kato, they are the no1 n scale train makers    hobo

N / Re: Absolute Minimum Acela Radius

Herc driver the best radius for this train is 26 inch radius and above not only for looks but for running .  I would not go under 19 inches on this train .even 19 inch radius is a little tight for me.

john I looked into the bli models and for 200.00 you get everything in this loco. sound , everything and it even has a die cast frame. I think i'll be purchasing one soon. mehano is out of business and ihc may follow. dont trust ihc right now. still I wouldnt mind seeing a bachmann model but bli is high quality and seems worth the money

athearn trains is already setting up shop in china like eveyone else did.dont be surprised when you hear it . its the only way they can stay competative. If americans were still making trains an athearn bb kit would be double what it is now. when they all of china the they'll move their operations to india or some other cheap labor country When the chinese workers standard of living rises so does the price of model trains

cf, I have bachmann amfleets and con cor amfleets the bachmanns are a little nicer car. I use a material handling car with my amfleets. the concors have microtrains couplers. tc is right microtrains is probably working on making couplers for the amfleets , they should because they are a popular and good passenger car

since mehano is now out of business I would love to see bachmann produce a gg1 in their standard line or spectrum line. bli  gg1 is a little pricey
