HO / Re: QUESTIONS FOR MR. RILEY AND THE BACH MAN
December 16, 2009, 09:36:32 AM
Thanks to everyone for the responses and especially JWARD.

PA's and E units with Daylight Colors is the answer I was looking for.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

Ya'll don't know me too well, but I feel like I know you all.  I'm on here reading
your posts every day and learning probably more than I want.

Another question for the Board.

Who knows what diesel (s)  pulled the Southern Pacific Daylight passenger cars after the steam engines were out of service ???  By some of the old pictures I've seen, I can't tell.

Thanks,

Jhanecker,

Thanks for the info.  I will check out Walthers and others.  I was wanting Bachmann cars because I figured the colors would probably match the loco more closely if made by the same company.

Thanks for the quick reply Bach Man.  Sorry to hear about "no" passenger car announcements though.  It's a shame to have the beautiful GS4 and nothing for her to pull.

HO / QUESTIONS FOR MR. RILEY AND THE BACH MAN
December 14, 2009, 11:41:08 AM
Question # 1:  What are the colors used on your HO scale Southern Pacific Daylight GS4 (4-8-4)  steam locomotive #4449?  Mine is in dire need of refurbishing.

Question # 2:   Does Bachmann have any plans to produce the passenger cars
that the afore mentioned loco would have pulled???

Thanks to Jonathan and ABC.

The Con-Cor's are what I am looking for. (Red and Orange)

RFDTV's show "Trains and Locomotives" featured the SP Daylight a couple of weeks ago.  Wow, What a sight.

Jonathan,

What did you do to pull up those SP passenger cars ???
I also have the SP Daylight loco and am looking for the passenger cars, cheap.
Half price sounds pretty good.

HO / Re: HO SCALE IHC 0-8-0 SWITCHER

Nelson,

I think that you have hit on the problem.  With the loco upside down, I can easily move three sets of drivers from side to side.  But, one set seems to not want to move as easily.  I think this is the major problem.  I suppose it's time for a wee bit of lubrication.  Thanks for the help.

I need some help here folks.

I know, I know, I shouldn' t be talking about IHC here, but here goes.  My one loco, that's not Bachmann, has a problem turning left.  It will turn right (clockwise) all day long.  As soon as it hits a left hand curve, it wants to stall, until it gets to the next straight piece of track.  Any suggestions.

Three weeks ago I sent  two Bachmann Plus diesel locomotives to the service department for repairs.  I received two replacement locos this past Saturday.  Mighty quick turnaround.

Sid,

I have missed something somewhere along the line here.  Why did you cut out around the tracks on the last photo?  Is it elevated or something?
